“Women’s cross-country prepares for Nike Cross Nationals”

(Published on on Dec. 2, 2015)

About: Our women’s cross-country team received a lot of publicity ahead of its trip to a national meet, so I found a unique way of previewing the event and looking back at the season. Using my photos along with courtesy photos, I made an interactive graphic with several online programs.

The graphic’s interactivity is not compatible with this website, so click here to view the published post.

“OPED: Ditch the cell phone”

(Published on on Jan. 11, 2016)

About: I wanted to combine two stories about cell phone use, but one was an opinion piece. Instead, to liven up to the run-of-the-mill op-ed written by a staff member, I made a graphic displaying it as a series of text messages, which was visually engaging and allowed the stories to coexist.

“Women’s basketball to face McClatchy on first ever Break the Record Night”

(Published on on Jan. 23, 2016)

I realized the night before the game that the occasion deserved greater coverage, so I quickly designed a graphic detailing the coach’s strategy.
